(FSCNY)

SYOSSET, NY, July 23, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ — Financial Service Centers of New York (FSCNY), the professional trade association representing New York’s licensed check cashing industry, has named Tracie Robinson its new executive director. Barbara Wolf, who was appointed FSCNY Board Chair in May 2018, made the announcement.

Most recently, Ms. Robinson was a senior policy analyst for the Human Services Council of New York, where she developed and executed advocacy strategies on behalf of 160 local organizations, coordinating with city, state and federal agencies. Previously, she served as director of policy and business development for EdisonLearning, Inc., a global provider of educational services.

“Tracie’s extensive experience in communications and government relations in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors will be a tremendous asset for FSCNY,” said Ms. Wolf. “Her proven success in working with legislators and agencies at every level of government will help our organization advance its legislative agenda.”

Ms. Robinson holds a BA in international relations from Boston University, and earned her law degree from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. She succeeds Roman Vaccari, who served as FSCNY executive director since 2012.

“I’m honored to represent FSCNY’s member companies, which address a critical need in communities across the state, providing essential financial services to individuals who would otherwise not have access to them,” said Ms. Robinson. “I look forward to working with FSCNY’s members, vendors, government partners and other stakeholders as we increase access to financial services for all residents of New York.”
