San Francisco, CA, April 24, 2018 –(PR.com)– World Meningitis Day is today, April 24th, 2018. According to CoMO, an alliance of world organizations in the fight against Meningitis, every year approximately 2-3 million people worldwide are affected by meningitis. Infection is by far the most common case of meningitis caused by germs, viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites. To help raise awareness, CoMO is collaborating with lead designer Alex Flatley, a Palo Alto, CA native and survivor of meningitis, along with Bay Area T-Shirt supplier Thread Dept in a campaign to create and sell a 2018 commemorative meningitis awareness T-Shirt. This T-shirt is available for purchase today through April 30th, 2018 at www.threaddept.com. This year’s theme, “All Meningitis Matters” is featured front and center on the shirt, with reference to 45 plus current and supporting Meningitis Associations from over 27 different countries on back, as well as World Meningitis Day commemorative date April 24th on the sleeve. Alex states, “It has been 5 years since I was diagnosed with meningitis, which still has side effects on me today. It is my goal to help save at least one person so they don’t suffer from this horrible disease, and every shirt purchased helps us on our mission, to continue raising awareness!”
